We have been grossly inattentive to our garden this summer. As I wrote in the last post, we have been preoccupied with our camper. Well, it appears that the plants know what to do, even without our help.
All this, and we didn't even make it all the way down the row! Now if we can come up with a dish that will incorporate the beans and some of our six dozen eggs.....
Aha!! I can help you with that one...

Portia, I made this for dinner tonight (or a close facsimile- I am horrible at following recipes and always improvise a little). It was delicious! Brian and I both loved it. Thanks for the suggestion! I am always looking for filling vegetarian or pescatarian meals, and this one is going into regular rotation.
ReplyDeleteOh, and I was also telling Brian- it must be the year 2011. I pick beans one day, post on the internet that I am looking for a recipe that incorporates beans and eggs, and a day later I am preparing a meal based on a suggestion from a blog buddy in the U.K.! Modern technology is pretty freaking awesome despite its hang ups.
ReplyDeleteOh that is cool! You could preserve them but I think you need a pressure canner to do veggies.my beans haven't come in yet. And I vote for the third Shasta pic.
ReplyDelete@Sew Country ChickHey Justine! We do actually have a pressure canner I bought a couple of months ago, but I haven't used it yet. To tell you the truth, I am a bit afraid of it and am hoping my stepmom will visit and show me how to use it. She showed me how to hot water bath can, and I am very comfortable with that. I guess I could always do some dilly beans! Oh, and thanks for the vote!
ReplyDeleteHe he, yeah I know, it's mad isn't it?!
ReplyDeleteGlad you like!
